Maribeth Bushey currently serves as the Vice Mayor of San Rafael, and was elected to the San Rafael City Counsel in 2013 to the seat vacated by then-retiring Council Member, Barbara Heller. Prior to that, Maribeth served on the San Rafael Planning Commission for 12 years.
Maribeth and her family have lived in San Rafael for over 20 years. She is the proud mom of two San Rafael High School graduates.
Maribeth Bushey is employed as the Director, Legal & Government Relations at Advanced Microgrid Solutions located in the South of Market area in San Francisco. The firm installs energy monitoring systems and battery storage arrays in large building and on campuses. Maribeth is responsible for providing legal and regulatory policy advice and direction as AMS expands throughout the United States, as well as serving as the Ethics Officer. Maribeth has extensive experience in public utility regulatory law, most recently as a senior Administrative Law Judge at the California Public Utilities Commission and prior to that with three West Coast electric utilities. Maribeth received her Juris Doctorate with hoors from Lewis and Clark Law School in Portland, Oregon, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Northern Michigan University.
